The porch opening in Clarendon Heights
Porch work is the bread and butter. The roof is there. We are only closing the open side. The product name we use is motorized patio enclosures. Searchers also type retractable bug screens and solar shade screens. Same housing, same motor, mesh picked for that opening. In the photo you can see a light cream screen closed over an upper deck with a white railing on a brown sided house, with a stone base and a ladder.
The motor is in the housing. The remote lives in the kitchen. That is the whole trick of motorized retractable screens: the patio is open when they want the view, closed when they want bugs, sun, or the neighbor out of the picture.

How an install goes
If you live in Clarendon Heights, here is what a motorized retractable screen job looks like with us. We install our own work. No subcontractors get handed the job. Mounting to a beam behind siding is standard for us. Standoff brackets keep the load off the siding, and the fasteners land in solid structure. Most installers in this area mount under the header, which leaves the housing sitting in your view. We mount above it, on every job. We measure and quote in straight inches, the same way the shop builds.
Who does the install?
We do. No subcontractors.
How big an opening can you cover?
Up to 360 inches wide and 216 inches tall.
